Individual Coaching Program

The Individual Business Development Coaching Program is designed for:

  • B2B professional services: consultants, corporate lawyers, accountants, tax advisors, managed services, trainers, marketing agencies
  • Entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs
  • Professional services firm employees looking to move up the ladder, or planning to go out on their own some day

If you are unsure about whether you want to pursue a career in B2B professional services, a Clarity Sesion is a good place to start. If you decide this program is right for you, the fee will be applied to the 12-Week program.

This is not a course. There are no slides or worksheets or quizzes. We are going to work on your business. You’re not starting your business development plan after you complete the course, we’re working on it together from day one.

Four Structured Working Sessions designed to kick-start your individual business development strategy and plan

  • What are you offering?
    • Value proposition: what you’re really selling, and why is it special?
    • Engagement model: project-based, retainer-based, subscription, time & materials
  • Who are you targeting?
    • Key People: Clients, Buyers, Partners, Referrers
    • Who are they? Where are they? What do they care about and why?
  • How are you positioning yourself?
    • Storytelling: what is it like to work with you? How have you done this before?
    • Perspectives and style: you don’t want to be everyone’s cup of tea
  • How are you connecting with people?
    • Attending IRL events, hosting IRL events, hosting virtual events, developing content
    • Working with, not against, your SWOT. This is supposed to be fun.

Each Structured Working Session is followed by a Quick Review Meeting to fine tune each element of your plan

  • Service Offering
  • Key People
  • Messaging
  • Business Development Activities

Five Unstructured Working Sessions where I will provide hands-on support and feedback for whatever you’re working on, such as:

  • Developing content and communication
  • Preparing for conferences and events
  • Hosting in-person and virtual events
  • Finding more ways to connect with people
  • Refining your proposal and pitch

The first two weeks of the 12-Week Program are key for building momentum: this is where we’ll meet almost daily to create your strategy and plan. For the next 10 weeks we will meet regularly to roll up our sleeves and work on whatever is most pressing for you - or to continue refining the plan as you learn by doing. After the 12-Week Program, we’ll stay in touch via monthly emails for another 3 months.
